Description
Are you passionate about embedded systems, from initial ideas to hardware design to final firmware? As an Embedded Engineer at DMC, you will use your embedded expertise and engineering fundamentals to develop solutions for custom embedded projects. This role offers a mix of independent work and cross-functional collaboration - including regular communication with clients, project coordination, and relationship building.
This role is for any entry level engineer (0-3 years of experience). We have an exceptional onboarding and training program to help align your skillset with our technical offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Programs using common embedded languages and frameworks (e.g. C, C++, Python, FreeRTOS, Zephyr,)
- Uses industry standard tools to support embedded development (Altium or similar for PCB design, simulation application, MCU IDEs, pin configuration tools, etc.)
- Performs hands-on troubleshooting with common lab hardware (oscilloscope, DMM, soldering tools, etc.)
- Collaborates with team members and communicates technical solutions to clients
- Documents hardware and firmware designs, implementations, and delivered solutions
- Supports project planning and contributes to system architecture decisions
- Learns new technologies relevant to assigned projects with guidance
- Gains exposure to sales, business development, and internal project processes
Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.4
- Experience with programming concepts, including text based languages and object-oriented design

Comfortable troubleshooting custom PCB hardware, reading schematics, soldering, and using common electronics lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other test instruments)
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply established patterns
- Understands complex system designs
- Ability to manage time across multiple projects and priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
