Privacy Lead Coordinator

This role offers the opportunity to shape DLL’s global first-line privacy operations function at a pivotal moment for digital regulation, data governance and responsible innovation. As Lead Privacy Coordinator, you will own the global privacy operations strategy, standards, priorities, governance and oversight, directly lead Europe and corporate/global domains, and influence other regions through the global framework while local market Operations remain accountable for execution in their respective markets. 

 

Your mission

• Own and lead DLL’s global First Line of Responsibility privacy function (privacy operations), including global strategy, standards, priorities, governance and oversight, while strengthening a consistent, business-oriented approach across regions. 
• Act as a trusted privacy advisor to the business, embedding privacy risk management into day-to-day operations and supporting pragmatic, compliant decision-making. 
• Directly lead operational privacy activities across Europe and global CDO, CCO, COO, Corporate and Group IT functions, including Privacy by Design, data subject rights, data breaches, international data transfers, third-party privacy requirements, cookies and privacy statements. 
• Influence privacy activities in other regions, including the US, Canada, LatAm and APAC, through the global privacy framework, standards and coordinator community, while local market Operations remain accountable for execution in their respective markets. 
• Drive execution of the Global Privacy Strategy and Framework, including policies, standards, procedures, the annual privacy operations plan, BAU prioritization and strategic privacy initiatives. 
• Partner with CDO, Information Security, Data Management, Procurement, IT and the Global Privacy Office to integrate privacy requirements into digital transformation, regulatory change, process design, assessment templates and OneTrust-enabled ways of working. 
• Lead core privacy governance activities, including ROPA, privacy assessments, Privacy by Design measures, privacy reporting, risk and control activities, trend analysis and remediation follow-up. 
• Manage privacy incidents and regulatory interactions, including registration, investigation, risk assessment, mitigation support, notification, communication and first-line contact with Data Protection Authorities where relevant. 
• Build privacy capability and assurance across the organization through training, awareness, community engagement and support for 2LoR and 3LoR activities, including external investigations. 

 

Skills and Capabilities Required

• Understand GDPR and (local) privacy laws and regulations 
• Sound privacy experience and expertise 
• Ability to manage a team of central Privacy Coordinators and regional privacy coordinator community and support cross-functional collaboration in an international organization 
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong drive and the ability to assess complex situations, and adequately develop pragmatic compliant solutions, drive simplification and continuous improvement of privacy processes and controls in a dynamic business environment. 
• Ability to operationalize privacy requirements 
• Affiliation with compliance, legal, IT, and information security 
• Being able to understand how Privacy by Design requirements can be included in the entire data life cycle 
• Ability to drive privacy initiatives independently while fostering alignment across stakeholders and teams.  
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions and countries 
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion.

Applicable pay range:

Italy: €85.112,80 - €127.669,20

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. For roles spanning multiple regions, salary ranges are based on local market salary benchmarks and will vary by region.

The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in Italy only. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
