About this role
The Global Head of Commercial Product & Technology is a critical technology and operational leadership role responsible for the end-to-end ownership, optimization, engineering lifecycle, and continuous delivery of our core global operating platforms.
This enterprise leader will bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational excellence, ensuring that our foundational platforms across Finance, Commercial, Compliance and Asset Management remain robust, compliant, scalable, and continuously aligned with evolving market needs. Managing complex global teams, this role oversees the standard enhancement pipelines, application stability, and value-realization of core applications that power the day-to-day business globally, including ROCK, CRM, Commercial and Finance Platform delivery.
Your Mission
Global Strategy & Execution
- Strategic Platform Evolution: Define and execute the global roadmap for continuous improvement (BAU features and enhancements) across core finance, commercial, and asset management systems.
- Release & Lifecycle Management: Establish global standards for release trains, continuous integration, and service transition, balancing speed-to-market with operational risk management.
- Operating Model Alignment: Drive the transition of legacy support and maintenance setups into high-performing, agile product delivery pods that can continuously ship enhancements.
Engineering & Operational Excellence
- Service Level Management: Secure the reliability, scalability, and security of global platforms, partnering with Infrastructure and Security teams to meet strict internal and regulatory SLAs.
- Technical Debt & Modernization: Systematically track, prioritize, and eliminate technical debt across legacy environments while preparing foundational platforms for cloud-native or API-driven integrations.
- Vendor & Partner Governance: Manage strategic relationships, SLAs, and commercial agreements with major platform vendors, software providers, and global system integrators.
Leadership & Change Management
- Global Team Capabilities: Lead, inspire, and grow a multi-disciplinary, distributed team of platform engineers, product owners, business analysts, and delivery managers.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for regional executive leadership, local business entities, and global functional owners to align priority pipelines and managing competing demands transparently.\
Skills and Capabilities Required
Technical & Professional Experience
- Proven Track Record: 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology delivery, software engineering management, or digital platform operations within a global, highly regulated matrix environment (e.g., Financial Services, Automotive, or Industrial Fleet/Asset Finance).
- Domain Expertise: Deep hands-on experience managing complex application suites across:
- Commercial: CRM, loan/lease origination systems, pricing engines, or billing configurations.
- Finance: Enterprise ERPs, financial platform and automated reconciliation systems.
- Methodologies: Expert knowledge of modern software delivery practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevSecOps) alongside standard IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Matrix Navigation: Proven ability to influence and lead across borders without direct hierarchy, balancing global standardized tech footprints with localized business dependencies.
- Communication & Board-Level Gravitas: Exceptional capability to translate intricate technical complexities into clear, value-driven business narratives for C-suite and executive stakeholders.
- Analytical Foundation: Exceptional structural problem-solving skills, with a background rooted in analytical disciplines (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics).
