We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and **bilingual (English/Spanish) Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Philadelphia. In this role, you will be a key player in handling complex tax preparation, with a heavy focus on individual income tax returns (Form 1040s) for our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be a certified CPA (or actively pursuing licensure) who can confidently consult with clients in both languages, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual tax returns (Form 1040s), including schedule C, D, and E filings.
Conduct tax consultations and client interviews fluently in both English and Spanish to gather financial data and understand their unique tax situations.
Provide proactive tax planning, strategies, and year-round advisory services to individuals and small business owners.
Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws, and ensure strict compliance with IRS regulations.
Act as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients, translating complex financial terms into easily understood advice.
Qualifications
Education & License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred; candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Language: Professional fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated tax preparation experience, with heavy proficiency in 1040s.
Location: Must be local to Philadelphia and able to work daily out of our physical office.
Proficiency with standard professional tax software and MS Excel.
