IT Security Analyst
About this role
We're looking for an IT Security Analyst to help protect the systems, R&D environments and technology that underpin our quantum computing mission.
This is not a policy-writing or governance-heavy role. It's an opportunity to work alongside engineers, researchers and technology specialists to implement, operate and improve security controls in a highly technical environment.
If you're the type of person who likes digging into logs, hardening systems, improving security controls, responding to incidents and finding practical ways to strengthen security, we'd love to hear from you. You'll likely bring:
- Experience in IT security, security operations, infrastructure security, systems administration or cyber security
- Hands-on experience supporting Linux and/or Windows environments
- Exposure to security monitoring, SIEM, logging or alerting platforms
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, patching and system hardening
- Understanding of identity and access management principles
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, cloud, networks or endpoints
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Deep-tech, semiconductor, defence, aerospace, R&D or other highly technical environments
- Cloud security, DevOps or secure engineering platforms
- ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight or similar security frameworks
- Protecting sensitive intellectual property or working in regulated environments
- Monitoring and responding to security events and alerts
- Improving visibility through logging, monitoring and SIEM platforms
- Securing Linux and Windows environments
- Supporting vulnerability management, patching and remediation programs
- Implementing and improving identity and access management controls
- Working with network and infrastructure teams to strengthen security across the environment
- Supporting incident response investigations and follow-up actions
- Providing technical evidence and support for audits and assurance activities
- Helping embed practical security controls into engineering and operational workflows
In a small team, you'll see the direct impact of your work and have the opportunity to influence how security controls are implemented across the business.
If you're looking for a hands-on security role where you'll work closely with engineers and researchers while helping protect advanced technology and critical intellectual property, we'd like to hear from you.
We have a small range (right now!) of benefits including:
