As a Field Services Technician, you will be playing a critical role on the Field Services Team. Your work will directly impact clinical operations, ensuring the robotic fleet is well maintained and functional. You will work alongside onsite and engineering staff to execute preventative maintenance and incident triage. You will be the expert technician who is able to handle critical issues that few others can. This position requires a technician who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary to keep our fleet operating at its maximum potential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be willing and able to travel <80% of the time in order to support Robot service needs. 
  • Conduct routine and incident maintenance for our Robot Fleet.
  • Provide support of Root Cause Analysis for major incidents in the Field.
  • Provide timely repairs and decrease the time our Robots are out of production.
  • Report on critical team metrics such as mean time to repair and first contact resolution rate.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Local to Chicago, IL and able to travel within designated region (all expenses paid).
  • <80% travel for site inspections and repairs escalated to engineering. Short-notice travel is required for this role.
  • Read and understand manufacturing work instructions, mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical tools (digital multimeter, wire and pcb soldering, electrical terminal crimping tools, hand tools, etc.).
  • Comfortable with basic command line tools.
  • Ability to become vendor credentialed with partner hospitals.
  • 3+ years of work experience with commercially available products.
  • Technical experience necessary to troubleshoot complex robotic systems.
  • Ability to execute high quality work without supervision in the field.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with work authorization.
