Job Summary

MEP Quantity Surveyors (QS) should  have strong experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tendering, and cost control for MEP works across commercial, residential, and fit-out projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting).
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Assist in tendering, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders and highlight budget deviations.
  • Prepare billing, RA bills, final accounts, and cost reports.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, site execution, and project teams.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bills and certify payments.
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project documentation.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven experience in commercial, residential, and fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, quantity take-off tools, and estimation software.
  • Good understanding of contracts, billing, and cost control practices.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
