Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Trainee to join our Finance team in Lisboa, Portugal. In this entry-level position, you will gain hands-on experience in accounting operations while supporting our accounting department with essential financial tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skill set and build a foundation for a career in finance.
- Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Support the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Prepare and verify financial documents, invoices, and expense reports
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures under supervision
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Help organize and file accounting documentation in compliance with company standards
- Assist with audit preparation activities and document gathering
- Learn and apply fundamental accounting principles and practices
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding accounting matters
Qualifications
- Degree Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
