R&D Associate
About this role
Role Overview:
We are looking for an R&D Associate with hands-on experience in cosmetics, personal care, or dermatology-based product development. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to formulation, testing, stability studies, and regulatory documentation, and a keen eye for innovation in skincare technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize formulations for skincare and personal care products in line with Dermatouch standards.
Conduct stability, compatibility, and efficacy studies for new and existing formulations.
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to translate market trends into innovative product concepts.
Maintain accurate records of formulations, trials, and testing data.
Evaluate raw materials and new actives; interact with vendors to source novel ingredients.
Ensure all R&D processes align with regulatory and safety guidelines.
Support scale-up and pilot batch processes in coordination with manufacturing teams.
Stay updated on industry innovations, trends, and competitor product launches.
Requirements
Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
Experience: 1–3 years in R&D roles within skincare, cosmetics, or derma brands, Strong understanding of active ingredients, emulsions, and formulation techniques.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance, safety testing, and documentation processes.
Attention to detail, creative mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
