The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager Marketing to lead marketing strategy and execution across our hospitality, retail, events, and premium experiences at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role and build something your own. Working closely with the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), venue stakeholders, and internal teams, you'll drive innovative marketing initiatives that elevate our brand, grow revenue, and create unforgettable guest experiences across both match day and non-match day operations.

What you will do?

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness, enquiries, revenue, and business growth
  • Lead multi-channel campaigns across digital, social media, venue, stakeholder, and traditional marketing channels
  • Drive brand visibility and guest engagement across hospitality venues, food and beverage offers, retail concepts, and event experiences
  • Create and manage content calendars, media schedules, and promotional campaigns aligned with commercial objectives
  • Collaborate with external agencies, suppliers, and industry partners to maximise campaign effectiveness
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing performance, using insights to optimise future campaigns and investment decisions
  • Identify new market opportunities and innovative ways to grow audience engagement and revenue

More about you

  • Demonstrated success in marketing, brand management, demand generation, or commercial marketing roles
  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns across digital, social, stakeholder, venue, and traditional marketing channels
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing activity to business performance
  • Experience managing agencies, campaign budgets, creative development, and marketing programs from concept to execution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using marketing, reporting, and performance platforms
  • A proactive and curious mindset with the confidence to challenge, innovate, and identify new opportunities
  • Hospitality, tourism, entertainment, retail, sport, or events marketing experience will be highly regarded, as well as qualifications in Marketing or Business
