Unit Description

Delaware North is the food, beverage, and retail provider at Little Caesars Arena. The 20,000-seat venue opened in 2017 and is home of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons. We provide a full accompaniment of services, including concessions and premium dining services in a variety of innovative club areas, loge boxes, and suites.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team members, ensuring the Bar and Dining Room area is adequately stocked with all products and supplies needed for service and all departmental and organizational policies and procedures are met
  • Assist managers in training and development of Bartenders and restaurant staff 
  • Collaborate with manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention, as well as assisting in the management of staffing levels in accordance with budgetary goals and business volume
  • Greet guests positively, professionally and as an individual, and monitor guests’ and team member need within your assigned area

Qualifications

  • One year related experience within fine dining or as a bartender
  • Superior organization and guest service abilities
  • Basic math skills and computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail
  • Ability to deal with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult situations
  • No college degree required

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to carry up to 35 lbs
  • Standing or walking for the duration of the shift
  • Possible exposure to second hand smoke and high noise volumes
