Unit Description
Delaware North operates concessions, clubs, and suites for the NHL's Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center and has been a partner of the Sabres since 1970, the year the team was founded. We manage concession outlets, suites, and clubs, including a members-only fine dining restaurant, at the 19,200-seat arena.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors warmly at the club entrance, check tickets or credentials, and verify access to all-inclusive areas
- Monitor the all-inclusive buffet, lounge, or seating areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels
- Answer questions, offer clear directions, and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the event
- Maintain consistent and accurate communications with Management, demonstrate proactive guest relations, and escalate any guest complaints swiftly and proactively
- Spot special requests (like high chairs or accessibility needs) before guests ask. Maintain guest notes to greet returning or VIP guests by name and acknowledge special occasions
- Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and event managers to handle crowd flow and special requests
- Brief floor staff on event timelines, incoming parties, VIPs, or specific customer preferences
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a guest service environment preferred
- Friendly, polite, and professional communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
- Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- No high school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods during events
- Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of the shift
- Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 pounds
