Position (Overview of Job):
We are seeking a detail-oriented Stores Person to take ownership of our Stores room and ensure the accurate and efficient management of inventory. This role involves both the physical and system-based handling of parts and products, requiring close coordination with purchasing, the hangar floor, and other internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage the Stores room, ensuring organization and efficiency.
- Physically receive products and accurately enter receipts into the inventory system (Sage 300).
- Ensure all inventory is received into the correct locations or jobs.
- Monitor purchase order (PO) locations to ensure data accuracy and alignment with job requirements.
- Oversee part setup, including tracking average cost (AVG), non-stock (NS), and repairable (REP) items.
- Allocate new parts to appropriate new locations within the inventory system.
- Perform monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Respond promptly to inventory inquiries from staff across departments.
- Provide immediate support to the hangar floor team for urgent inventory requests.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a Stores or inventory management environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory transactions and controls.
- Experience with Sage 300 (considered a strong asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Based in or able to reliably commute to Breslau, ON.
- Valid G driver’s license.
