Profile
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Plater to join our manufacturing team in Sidney BC. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the growth and success of our organization as we strive to maintain high standards of quality and safety in aircraft manufacturing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all heat treat operations on carbon steels, stainless steels and aluminum alloys in accordance with customer specifications;
- Comprehensive knowledge of process specifications and ensure Company adherence;
- Able to assist in training, directing and supervising Junior Employees;
- Perform instrument and equipment and solution checks as required to meet all customer quality standards;
- Anodize in accordance with customer specifications;
- Passivate in accordance with customer specifications;
- Apply Chemical Conversion Coatings in accordance with customer specifications;
- Clean and prepare parts for welding operations;
- Chemically clean and prepare for painting various parts and materials;
- Capable of meeting all DOT, Viking Air and customer quality requirements;
Skills & Experience
- Canadian provincial or inter-provincial plating certification or a completed Kushner electro-plating know-how course, or equivalent ticket from another country is considered an asset
- Able to safely store and maintain consumable materials;
- Able to work safely and efficiently with a minimum of supervision;
