Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with strong expertise in Business Intelligence and data analytics to design, develop, and optimize scalable reporting solutions using Power BI and cloud data platforms.
Core Responsibilities
• End-to-end development: Handling end-to-end design and deployment of advanced Power BI solutions, including data ingestion, storage and presentation layers.
• Advanced Data Modeling: Designing robust semantic models using star and snowflake schemas to ensure optimized relationships and aggregations.
• Complex DAX Development: Writing and optimizing complex Data Analysis Expression (DAX) for measures, calculated columns, and intricate KPIs to handle large datasets.
• ETL & Data Transformation: Developing sophisticated data transformation logic, for instance using Power Query (M language), and building reusables dataflows and pipelines.
• Governance and Security: Implement Row-Level Security and enforce data governance, documentation and quality standards.
• Performance Tuning: Troubleshooting and optimizing existing reports and SQL queries to ensure high performance and usability at scale.
Required Skills
- Expert Power BI - Proficiency with the entire stack.
- Power BI Desktop, Service, Gateway and Power BI Report Building. Experience with Power Automate Tableau desktop, cloud, server, data connectivity and prep layers.
- Advanced SQL: Expert-level skills in writing, optimizing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries (CTEs, analytical functions, stored procedures)
- Cloud Data Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud environments like Snowflake and AWS (S3, AWS Sage maker, Athena)
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python for advanced data processing, automation and custom visuals.
- Performance Tuning: Experience with tuning tools such as DAX Studio or Tabular Editor is preferred
