Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate is to join the Hong Kong Cash product management team of GTS at DBS. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing he bank’s strategy for deposit accounts, CASA growth, and overall liability portfolio management across the GTS franchise. The candidate will also oversee any transformational initiatives that enable bank to drive sustainable, low cost and stable funding growth.

The candidate will partner closely with coverage teams, sales, corporate treasury, risk etc to develop the liability strategy to grow Hong Kong deposit portfolio, its associated revenue and manage the respective risks. Monitoring the financial performance of Hong Kong GTS cash net interest income and the achievement of the annual plan. Identify growth levers across clients segments.

  • Develop and own the multi-year liability strategy, aligned with the bank’s overall balance sheet, funding and liquidity objectives.

  • Track and analyze portfolio performance across balances, behaviors, attrition, deposit mix and interest rate related matters.

  • Incubate and conceptualize product ideas regionally based on customer needs and prioritization of local market requirements;

  • Identify and execute growth levers including wallet deepening, cross-sell, segmentation and dynamic pricing strategies;

  • Benchmark propositions against competitors and market trends;

  • Manage key balance sheet drives, including liability balance level, FTP and Customer Rates;

  • Work closely with Corporate Treasury to optimize the bank’s funding mix and support internal FTP frameworks;

  • Responsible for P&L of liability portfolio. Foster collaboration with Sales and Relationship management team.;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Banking;

  • At least 10 Years of relevant experience in Banking;

  • Liability Management product knowledge/ Asset & Liability Management knowledge;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;

  • Ability to work independently and interact with business partners;

  • Ability to influence and impact outcomes;

  • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Strong strategic mindset with proven analytical skills;

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to handle multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues;

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and accomplish a task with little supervision
