About this role
Key Responsibilities
The Corporate Action Team within Vickers Operations is central to managing corporate entitlement processing for both DBSV SG and CBG SMF businesses. This role is critical in facilitating seamless financial operations and requires meticulous attention to detail and strong operational execution.
This role supports the Team Manager in leading the Corporate Actions Team within Vickers Operations, handling and overseeing end-to-end post–corporate action processing for DBS Vickers Singapore and Consumer Banking (SMF) businesses.
This role is accountable for:
Day-to-day operational delivery
People management and capability development
Risk and control ownership
Stakeholder and escalation management
Operations & Delivery
Handle and check end-to-end processing of corporate action events such as dividends, rights issues, and other entitlement events.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of post-trade, payment, and settlement activities.
Provide guidance and escalation support for complex, high-risk, or time-critical events.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach, and develop junior Corporate Action officers.
Work with Team manager to identify training needs and build strong technical and operational capability within the team.
Foster a strong risk-aware, disciplined, and service-oriented culture.
Risk Control & Quality Assurance
Own operational risk and control standards for Corporate Action processes.
Review reconciliations, exception reports, and unresolved breaks.
Proactively identify control gaps and implement corrective actions.
Support audits, risk assessments, and issue remediation activities.
Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders (e.g. Front Office, Finance, Technology, Compliance).
Liaise with custodians, brokers, and counterparties to resolve exceptions or outstanding issues.
Handle escalated client and business queries promptly and professionally.
Process Improvement & Change Support
Drive process improvements, standardisation, and operational efficiency.
Participate in system enhancements, UAT, and change initiatives affecting Corporate Actions.
Support implementation of new products, markets, or regulatory changes.
Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes through technology solutions and workflow optimisation.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma holder with 5–8 years of relevant banking operations experience, preferably in Corporate Actions or Securities Operations.
2–3 years of people management or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of corporate action events and post-trade operations.
Solid control mindset with strong attention to detail.
Able to perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Clear communicator with good stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
