Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the team include the production of relevant, timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting purpose; as well as the analysis of Group performance. 

  • Member of the team responsible for the delivery of the Group’s financial reports
  • Participate in the review of accounting treatment and financial disclosures of the Group’s product and services
  • Participate in Finance projects initiatives which involve process reviews, system enhancements and new systems implementation
  • Implement procedures and internal controls over the preparation of financial reports
  • Responsible for the monthly financial accounts closing process
  • Responsible for the preparation, review and analysis of the Group’s financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements as well as Group accounting policies
  • Responsible for the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and other financial information as required by the relevant authorities
  • Participate in Finance projects initiatives which involve process reviews, system enhancements and new systems implementation
  • Implement procedures and internal controls over the preparation of financial reports
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments when necessary

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field with 2-3 years of relevant working experience; Big 4 firm experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in accounting principles, including SFRS(I), with an added advantage for expertise in financial instruments.
  • Strong financial reporting background. Familiarity with financial reporting process in a large financial services company would be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Keen analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort dealing with high volumes of data and financial numbers.
  • Strong team player with maturity and strong communication skills across all levels.
