Description
With a minimum of four years of professional editing experience, the successful candidate will possess strong narrative storytelling skills and technical expertise. Operating within a high-velocity editorial environment, you will translate raw footage, live feeds, and archival assets into highly engaging short-form, long-form, and promotional sports content.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Execute high-quality video edits, including match highlights, analytical packages, features, promotional campaigns, and reactive social media content.
- Manage the full post-production workflow, including video cutting, basic color grading, sound design, audio mixing, and basic motion graphics.
- Optimize all output for various platforms (OTT platform, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X), ensuring adherence to correct aspect ratios, formats, and compression standards.
- Implement localization, subtitling, and versioning protocols for global distribution
- Partner closely with Producers, Journalists, Social Media Leads, and Creative Directors to conceptualize and execute visually compelling narratives.
- Maintain a deep understanding of DAZN’s editorial voice, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone, and strategic objectives.
- Rapidly adapt and respond to breaking sports news and live events to deliver timely, high-impact reactive content.
- Navigate media asset management (MAM) systems to source, organize, and archive footage efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to sports rights restrictions, licensing, copyright laws, and internal compliance protocols.
- Deliver all assets on time and to exact technical specifications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 4 years of professional video editing experience within sports media, broadcasting, a digital agency, or a major streaming/OTT platform.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition (or equivalent audio post-production tools).
- Demonstrated familiarity with cloud-based collaborative editing workflows and Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
- Deep understanding of the global sports landscape, digital media trends, and platform-specific algorithms/best practices (especially for short-form social video).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, aligned with the live sports calendar.
