Reports To: Head, PPU Packing Plant

 

Job Summary

Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, transport, and stack materials while adhering to safety procedures and supporting efficient warehouse, production, and dispatch operations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•    Safely operate the forklift to move materials and products.
  •    Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
  •    Transport goods to designated locations.
  •    Stack and arrange materials properly.
  •    Conduct daily pre-use equipment inspections.
  •    Report any defects, damages, or safety concerns.
  •    Follow all HSE and company safety procedures.
  •    Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
  •    Assist with stock handling and inventory activities as assigned.

 

Education and Work Experience

•    Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification.
  •    Valid forklift operator license

 

Functional Competencies
•    Forklift operation and material handling skills.
•    Knowledge of warehouse and dispatch procedures.
•    Ability to conduct pre-operation equipment inspections.
•    Understanding of HSE and safe lifting practices.
•    Basic inventory and stock handling knowledge.
•    Ability to identify and report equipment defects.
•    Good communication and teamwork skills.
•    Attention to detail and accuracy in operations.
