Role Description
Dallas Country Club is currently seeking a qualified individual for Food and Beverage Assistant Manager for our Sports Grill. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in training and motivation of staff menu/job knowledge and daily specials
- Assume responsibility of daily operation of all assigned outlets.
- Assist in ensuring that scheduling functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained staff.
- Train, maintain and enforce all DCC service standards using use records, menus appropriate reference materials.
- Handle daily staff relations (e.g., scheduling, time adjustments).
- Assist with Management in gathering and implementing all proper tools for running shift, (e.g., schedules, floor plans, reservations, checks).
- During shift, ensure that Members are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, and communication with kitchen and by striving to speak to all members/guests.
- Be on the floor during entire meal period and ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure that only a quality product is being served.
- Monitor hours and staffing daily for the dining room
- Ensure all side work is done on daily basis.
- Understand and teach empowerment principles to ensure member satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3+ years food service or related hospitality management experience.
- TABC and Food handling certification required
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:
- Written/verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Able to work with teams
- Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operations
- Demonstrated hospitality skills
- Demonstrated strong work ethic
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Prior Experience in Upscale Casual Fine or Fine Dining
