GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform a variety of clerical duties under general supervision in the warehouse.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answer telephones, emails, and voicemails and act on, address, and resolve inventory issues and concerns

· Process orders from customers and prioritize, print, and issue pick orders and instructions to appropriate warehouse employees

· Track inventory and assist with distribution of assignments for orders to material handlers, warehouse operators, forklift operators, etc.

· Monitor the loading of trailers according to work order specification and shipping schedule; verify orders when loaded onto trailers, add the various tickets and tags required for each order, and close out paperwork as needed

· Assist with periodic cycle counts of the inventory, expedite orders when required, and set up and add items to computer system

· Determine correct inventory levels, report stock inventory and special-order requests, and perform general accounting for warehouse

· Perform general housekeeping duties in work area to maintain a clean and safe working environment

· May perform basic shipping activities such as preparing items or packages for shipment, creating shipment documents, and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 0 to 1 year of administrative support, warehouse, or related experience

· Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems

· Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests

· Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

· Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented

· Able to follow directions and meet deadlines

· Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision

· Must be able to read, write and speak English
