About the Role

As a Financial Modeling Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the company's financial planning and data analysis activities.

You will assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing financial models used for revenue, expense, and cash flow forecasting, as well as supporting the preparation of reports, analyses, and presentations that drive strategic decision-making.

You will also contribute to financial scenario planning, KPI analysis, and the organization of financial information, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and generate valuable business insights.

This is an on-site position in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, offering close collaboration with the team and excellent opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, improvement, and maintenance of financial models for revenue, expense, and cash flow projections.
  • Support financial scenario planning and simulations to evaluate different business strategies and their potential impacts.
  • Monitor financial KPIs and assist in preparing reports, forecasts, and budget-versus-actual analyses.
  • Help prepare presentations and materials for leadership, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and high-quality information.
  • Collaborate in organizing, validating, and analyzing financial data to generate insights for different business areas.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial planning and data analysis processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, with a focus on data manipulation and analysis.
  • Interest in finance, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and spreadsheet automation (Python, SQL, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Eagerness to learn, take on new challenges, and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools.
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance concepts.
  • Previous academic, personal, or internship experience involving data analysis, financial modeling, or process automation.
  • Experience working in a startup or technology-driven environment.
