Hyrox Coach
What You'll Do
- Coach Hyrox-style and hybrid training sessions, blending running with functional movements like sled pushes/pulls, farmer's carries, burpee broad jumps, wall balls, and rowing/skiing
- Program and periodize training cycles that build race-day readiness and everyday functional fitness
- Teach and reinforce proper technique, pacing, and transitions between movements
- Modify workouts to meet each athlete's ability level and goals
- Create a high-energy, motivating environment every session
- Also step in to coach our core strength & conditioning group and team training sessions when needed
- Start and finish sessions on time, every time
- Represent D1 Training Melbourne with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity
- Have a passion for Hyrox, functional fitness, or hybrid athlete training
- Bring energy, confidence, and presence to the floor
- Want to help build a new program from the ground up
- Care about athletes as people — not just reps and sets
- Take pride in preparation, punctuality, and professionalism

Qualifications (Don't Self-Eliminate)
- AED/CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain quickly)
- At least one NCCA-accredited certification (NSCA, NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, etc.)
- Hyrox, running coach, or functional fitness coaching experience preferred
- 2+ year coaching experience (group, team, or personal training)
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred, not required)

All D1 Training locations offer four age-based programs including Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18), and Adult (ages 18+). Each fitness program is based on the five athletic-based training tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance series, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. To ensure athletes are on track to meet sport and fitness goals new workouts are created every eight weeks by D1’s National Training Panel, led by Bartholomew, optimized for desired results. Outside of group workouts, D1 Training offers one-on-one training with world-class coaches which has been utilized by professional and Olympic athletes.
D1 Training currently has more than 170 open facilities with 250+ in development, and the brand expects more than 125 locations operating in the next three years.
