What You’ll Do
- Assist in coaching and overseeing group, semi-private, team, and personal training sessions
- Help lead, mentor, and develop our team of coaches, ensuring every session meets the D1 standard
- Create a high-energy, motivating environment every session
- Teach and reinforce proper technique, speed, strength, and movement patterns for athletes ages 7 to adult
- Modify exercises to meet each athlete's age, ability, and goals
- Support the Head Coach in quality control, coach audits, and coaching feedback
- Build real relationships with Melbourne families, athletes, and teams
- Start and finish sessions on time, every time
- Reduce injury risk through smart coaching and movement quality
- Step in to lead the coaching staff in the Head Coach's absence
- Represent D1 Training Melbourne with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity
- AED/CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain quickly)
- At least one NCCA-accredited certification (NSCA, NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, etc.)
- 2+ years coaching experience (group, team, or personal training) preferred
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred, not required)
- Lead a team in a performance-driven training environment
- Direct impact on both athlete results and team development

All D1 Training locations offer four age-based programs including Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18), and Adult (ages 18+). Each fitness program is based on the five athletic-based training tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance series, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. Outside of group workouts, D1 Training offers one-on-one training with world-class coaches which has been utilized by professional and Olympic athletes.
