About this role

The Director of Case owns the end-to-end development of SCMC’s case deliverables and competition materials. This role ensures the case is rigorous, well-scoped, and professionally packaged, with clean exhibits, rules, and evaluation tools that allow competitors and judges to perform at a high level.  

\nTime Commitment
10 hours/week (more during peak deadlines and competition weeks) 
Term of Employment
June 2026 – March 2027 
Main Responsibilities
  • Lead case creation: prompt design, exhibits/data room, clarifications process, and version control 

  • Build competition rules and regulations and ensure consistency across all public-facing materials  

  • Design the scoring system: rubric, marking sheets, and judge guidance (including calibration)  

  • Coordinate with Competition + Conference teams on timelines, deliverables, and day-of execution 

  • Maintain quality control for all case-facing outputs (formatting, accuracy, completeness, fairness) 

  • Benchmark comparable competitions and incorporate improvements year-over-year 

Qualifications
  • Strong writing + structuring instincts (clear problem statements, clean assumptions, tight scope) 

  • Interest in valuation / modeling and transaction reasoning (DCF, comps, deal logic)  

  • Extremely detail-oriented and able to manage complex deliverables under deadlines  

  • Comfortable leading a team and holding high standards

  • Experience in Capital Markets/Banking
