About this role

We are looking for an IT Network Manager to join our Farmingdale, NY location.


You will perform a variety of Windows and Active Directory Administration tasks. Oversee implementation of standalone secure network architectures, customer IS requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures for assigned DOD programs. Administer Engineering department hardware and software to support execution of existing and future contracts. Support other related department technology improvements as outlined by Engineering Director.

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft based Network Manager, who also possesses Information System Security Officer (ISSO) expertise. You will be involved in all aspects of cybersecurity operations and will partner with company leaders as well as government and mission partners to maintain our information secured networks. Adhere to NIST SP 800-53, NISPOM, DOD and DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency) regulations, as well as others. Ensures software, hardware, firmware, and all systems comply with the appropriate security standards and guidelines. Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 experience analyzing and interpreting outputs of various endpoint security, vulnerability, and enumeration tools (example: Tenable Nessus, Security Center, SolarWinds, EndPoint Security Solutions, SCAP Compliance Checker). Ongoing training and/or certifications will be required. Proven communication skills to coordinate with company staff as well as government and mission partners.

Salary/hourly rate: $95,000 to $125,000

Your Challenge:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft-based network infrastructure (including Windows Server, Office, and related technologies).
  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts, groups, and organizational units in Active Directory
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects for user and computer configuration
  • Ensure secure authentication mechanisms (e.g., Kerberos, 2FA tokens, certificates) for user logins
  • Configure and maintain DNS servers for name resolution
  • Manage DHCP scopes and IP address assignments
  • Install, configure, and patch Windows servers
  • Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and system logs
  • Develop and implement security controls to comply with industry standards and organizational policies
  • Prepare documentation and reports for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Collaborate with CW IT and security teams to address vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade (as needed) Engineering department IT needs
  • Work with Engineering department to implement technology upgrades to support digital transformation
  • Establish and manage to project budgets for recurring items and department upgrade initiatives
  • Oracle Java programming for process improvement initiatives

What you Bring:

  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System Security, or relevant related field
  • Proven experience as a Windows System Engineer with a focus on Active Directory administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in network management, with a focus on Microsoft technologies
  • Proven ISSO experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NISPOM, AFI 17-203, and DAAPM
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Certifications, CISSP, CISM, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
