Senior Project Engineer - Power Generation

About this role

This role is based at our Wetherill Park, NSW office, where you will join our expanding Power Generation team providing technical leadership and application engineering support for projects across Data Centres, Energy Management, Healthcare, Commercial Buildings, Industrial Facilities, Utilities, Mining, and other critical infrastructure sectors.
Working closely with customers, consulting engineers, EPC contractors, project managers, and Cummins teams across the Asia Pacific region, you will develop reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective power generation solutions that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Develop technical solutions for diesel and gas generator systems, power generation packages, and integrated power solutions. 
  • Engage directly with customers, consulting engineers, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders to understand technical and commercial requirements. 
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, single line diagrams, system architecture, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation. 
  • Evaluate customer specifications and provide technical compliance, deviations, and value engineering recommendations. 
  • Support tender submissions by preparing technical proposals and ensuring solutions meet customer and regulatory requirements. 
  • Provide on-site expertise during installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring we provide a high quality and safe solution for our customers.
  • Review electrical and mechanical system designs to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, customer specifications, and Cummins engineering guidelines. 
  • Provide technical leadership throughout project execution including design reviews, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation, commissioning, and project close-out. 
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Service, Project Management, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful project delivery. 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where required. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, project delivery, and customer outcomes.
