Health, Safety and Environmental Technician - 12 months fixed contract
About this role
We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Technician to join our team specializing in Health, Safety & Environmental Management for our Health and Safety Team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of a proactive health, safety and environmental culture within a manufacturing environment while contributing to the continuous improvement of our HSE management systems. Working closely with the Site HSE Leader and operational teams, you will help ensure compliance, drive engagement, and support initiatives that protect our people, environment, and business.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract working –
- Monday to Friday on site daily – 8.00am to 4.00pm, may include up to 10% domestic travel.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Deliver HSE induction training for new employees and support the development and delivery of toolbox talks and awareness campaigns across the site.
- Assist with Assist with occupational risk assessments and environmental aspects and impacts, and the implementation of effective control measures, risk assessments, and the implementation of effective control measures to reduce workplace risks.
- Conduct workplace inspections and participate in internal audits, ensuring actions are tracked and completed in a timely manner.
- Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, helping identify root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain key HSE systems and databases, including Enablon, COSHH/SYPOL, health surveillance records, and training matrices.
- Support environmental management activities and sustainability initiatives, helping the site achieve environmental compliance and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with employees and leaders across the business to promote a positive, interdependent culture where health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility are embedded in daily operations.
