Electrical Technician Workshop - Rail

About this role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our high performing Rail Team working on Sydney Train Fleet in Wetherill Park, NSW. 

You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools

  • Support the Sydney Trains auxiliary assets of their regional diesel fleet

  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field

  • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens

  • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements

  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

  • Train electrical apprentices in and out of the branch.

  • Coordinate jobs and responsibilities within the branch and delegate workload.

  • Understand relevant electrical certification required in country

  • Complete in workshop repairs as required
