We are looking for a talented Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.

Job Summary:

As part of a formal skilled trades training program, assists site Electrician skilled trades to learn and develop electrical skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. Apprentice will be required to successfully complete and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on the job training hours. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  •  Promote a strong safety culture by following HSE policies, using proper PPE, reporting hazards and incidents promptly, and encouraging teammates to work safely and look out for one another.
    •  Support reliable equipment performance by assisting with preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities that maximize equipment uptime and reduce operational disruptions.
    •  Contribute to product quality excellence by performing inspections, following process documentation, adhering to quality standards, and identifying issues before they impact production or customer satisfaction.
    •  Develop and apply electrical maintenance skills through required classroom training and hands-on experience, steadily building the competencies necessary to qualify as an Electrician.
    •  Improve manufacturing efficiency by identifying production constraints, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
    •  Strengthen continuous improvement efforts by actively participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and providing valuable feedback to the Preventive Maintenance system.
    •  Reduce operational costs and quality risks by raising concerns early, supporting failure analysis investigations, and helping implement corrective actions that prevent recurring problems.
    •  Drive teamwork and operational success through effective communication with production, maintenance, and support teams while maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
