Procurement Manager
About this role
The role covers renewable energy technologies (PV, Wind & BESS) with a particular focus on Wind. The scope includes both equipment and services such as EPC, Technical Advisory and QAQC.
The geographic scope may evolve as the company’s pipeline and business needs change.
This position will work from our Madrid office.
- Experience in Wind sector, including at least five years of procurement experience covering Turbine Supply and Installation Agreement (TSIA), Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) and BoP EPC scenarios.
- Other key components such as HV equipment, or services such as EPC, QAQC, or Technical Advisory is an advantage.
- Additional experience in PV key components such as modules, inverter, BESS or HV equipment is a strong advantage.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics operations, or a related field.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish is an asset, and additional languages are a plus.
- Highly organized and structured, with the ability to manage deadlines, schedules, and agendas independently.
- Proactive and motivated, with a hands-on approach.
- International experience and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across regions and cultures.
- Strong team player with the ability to build and manage relationships effectively.
- Able to manage large volumes of information efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications are required.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in projects and construction would be an advantage.
Key Competencies
Technical
- Relevant procurement experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on Wind.
- Good understanding of Wind technologies; knowledge of PV and BESS is an advantage.
- Experience with contractual and legal terminology in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with MS Project and Power BI is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of procurement within a global organization.

- Assist origination and development teams in the procurement and sourcing activities for actual or future projects.
- Validating Capex assumptions, advising regarding suppliers and technologies, and coordinating procurement processes and procedures.
- Managing suppliers in line with corporate procurement guidelines to leading, coordinating, and supporting RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for ongoing tenders.
- Work closely with origination and development teams to build an accurate regional demand forecast, which is then consolidated into the company-wide forecast and informs the global procurement strategy.
- Gather project-specific requirements early to identify procurement needs and ensure timely, effective support.
- Direct involvement with supplier negotiations in conjunction with the Project Team & external advisors.
- Support the Project team and Supplier during execution phase to ensure successful contract fulfilment.
- Administrative activities including preparing NDAs, reporting, data analysis, accurate document filing, forecasting & presentations
- Supporting different regions where Cubico operates. As a result, time zone differences must be considered, and travel is expected.
