About this role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Markets & Performance team at Cubico Sustainable Investments as an Automation Analyst for Cubico Spain. Located in Madrid and reporting into the Markets & Performance Manager, this role will be responsible for driving the digitalization and automation of processes within the Markets & Performance team through the use of digital tools, cloud-based solutions and artificial intelligence technologies, with the objective of improving operational efficiency, data quality, and the team's analytical capabilities.

  • Experience in process automation and/or digitalization within corporate environments.
  • Practical knowledge of automation and data analytics tools (Power Automate, advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with system integration concepts (REST APIs, JSON, connectors).
  • Experience or strong interest in the practical application of AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable working with numerical data and complex processes.
  • Ability to understand business processes and transform them into automated solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • Specific knowledge of energy markets is considered an advantage but is not essential and can be developed while performing the role.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering degree
  • Experience working on similar projects.
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, SQL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar).
  • Previous experience in industries with high operational complexity (energy, infrastructure, finance).
  • Knowledge of energy markets.
  • Identify and analyse manual processes within the Markets & Performance area that can be automated.
  • Design, develop and implement end-to-end solutions using automation tools, data platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Integrate internal and external data sources and systems through APIs, connectors and digital solutions.
  • Implement AI-based solutions (Copilot, Claude, or other models) to enhance reporting, insight generation, and decision-making support.
  • Act as a liaison between business, IT and data teams, aligning functional requirements with technical solutions.
  • Document processes and ensure the robustness, traceability and maintainability of automation solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital capabilities across the team.
