  • Develop scalable and production-ready backend services with high reliability.

  • Deliver secure, well-documented APIs that meet functional and performance requirements.

  • Optimize database performance and ensure efficient data management.

  • Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

  • Successfully deploy applications through automated CI/CD pipelines.

  • Contribute to improving system scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

About the Role:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python. Work closely with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance, cloud-native applications and contribute to the architecture, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django).

  • Build scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices.

  • Develop integrations with databases, cloud services, and third-party APIs.

  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries.

  • Implement authentication and authorization using industry-standard security practices.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.

  • Containerize applications using Docker and support CI/CD deployments.

  • Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance and reliability.

First 90 Days — Objectives:

Day 30: Understand the product architecture, development standards, and deployment process.

Deliver initial API enhancements or feature implementations.

Day 60: Independently develop and deliver backend features and integrations.

Participate actively in design discussions and code reviews.

Day 90: Own end-to-end delivery of backend components.

Optimize application performance, reliability, and contribute to architectural improvements.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of Python backend development using FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.

  • Strong experience in REST API development and microservices architecture.

  • Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security.

  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database design.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and object storage.

  • Strong knowledge of Docker and CI/CD practices.

  • Good understanding of asynchronous programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

  • Experience with performance optimization, caching, and application monitoring.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

  • Exposure to AI/ML or LLM integrations.

  • Familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, or other distributed systems.

  • Experience building enterprise SaaS applications.
