Treasury Management Sales Officer
About this role
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Responsible for the development and direct sale of Treasury Management products and services to new clients and the expansion of existing treasury management customer relationships.
- Supports the business development activities of CTBC front line units and develop sales strategies to aggressively increase the sale and use of treasury management products and services for the designated customer and prospect base.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sales/Servicing (100%)
- Conduct customer/prospect needs analysis and develop proposed service solutions/sales presentations to assist businesses and organizations to make efficient use of cash
- Coordinate sales efforts with relationship officers and team members in order to acquire new business and strengthen existing client relationships
- Maintain current knowledge of all treasury management products and services offered
- Provide product sales support commercial bankers within your coverage area to assist in generating new business from prospective commercial bank clients
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, payment processing and commercial banking operations.
- Directly interface with the client’s CFO, CEO, Controller, Treasurer & Accounting Staff
- Understand & evaluate clients’ business needs by employing a consultative sales approach to determine their requirements and recommend solutions
- Evoke meaningful discussions with clients around their critical issues and propose integrated Treasury Management and banking solutions
- Nurture and deepen existing commercial banking client relationships
- Conduct banker portfolio and client relationship reviews to generate new business
- Prepare and present competitor statement analyses and product proposals
- Support the Proposal & RFP bidding processes
- Proactively keep Commercial Banking offices and clients abreast of new products, enhancements and industry developments
- Create and maintain a solid working relationship with the overall banking team, product partners, and colleagues throughout CTBC
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by established due dates.
- Understand and comply with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to the position.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
- 5+ years of treasury management, banking and client interfacing experience
- Knowledge of the practices and regulations that govern the banking industry and the implications of federal, state and local regulations affecting cash management activities
- Awareness of industry issues and competitive products/services
- Experience in managing/supporting medium to large account relationships preferred
- Knowledge of Treasury Management products, banking & the client sales cycle
- Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions
- Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals
- High degree of professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent consultative selling & negotiation ability
- Attention to detail and consistent follow-up skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, internet applications & pipeline reporting systems
- Bilingual Chinese preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
- Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is required.
COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is USD $78,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
