Croydon is one of London's largest boroughs and we have ambitious plans to deliver new homes, regenerate communities and create places where residents can thrive. We are seeking an experienced Head of Housing Delivery to lead the successful delivery of Croydon's housing development and regeneration programme. You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering a portfolio of complex housing and regeneration projects from inception through to completion.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including programme management, governance, procurement, risk management, contract management and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with residents, elected members, contractors, consultants, development partners and funding bodies, you will drive delivery across a diverse portfolio of schemes and ensure projects achieve high standards of quality, sustainability and resident outcomes.

You will provide strategic oversight of programme performance, financial management and risk, ensuring robust governance and effective decision making throughout the project lifecycle. As a member of the senior management team, you will contribute to wider Housing Directorate priorities and play a key role in delivering Croydon's long term housing and regeneration ambitions.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Significant experience leading housing development, regeneration or major project delivery programmes
  • A strong track record of delivering complex residential or regeneration schemes from inception through to completion
  • Experience managing large scale budgets, contracts, risk and programme performance
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery and governance
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing consultants, contractors and development partners
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience operating successfully within a complex and politically sensitive environment
  • A passion for delivering high-quality homes, successful regeneration and positive outcomes for residents
