Fullstack Software Engineer – App Growth and Performance
About this role
What You'll Do:
At Criteo, the CIA team contributes to the broader App initiative and works closely with product and engineering teams across the company to improve and grow Criteo's App product.
Because the App product spans multiple systems and teams, the work is not confined to a single service or component. You will join a small, collaborative squad and work wherever the problem leads: from backend services and APIs to data, tracking, configuration, testing, and observability.
This is not a role where success is measured only by shipping features in one component. You will make ambiguous problems understandable, identify what limits product performance, and turn your findings into practical solutions with measurable impact.
- Investigate App performance, reliability, and integration issues, tracing signals across systems to identify root causes.
- Use production data, logs, and metrics to explain behavior, validate assumptions, and measure impact.
- Turn findings into clear recommendations, including options, trade-offs, risks, and expected outcomes.
- Build and test backend services, APIs, instrumentation, data pipelines, and internal tools to solve complex issues.
- Work across backend services, click tracking, app linking and landing, MMP integrations, attribution, measurement, and observability.
- Partner with Product, Analytics, Technical Services, Operations, and R&D to connect technical work to business outcomes.
- Own topics end to end by identifying gaps, surfacing risks, coordinating stakeholders, and driving delivery through code reviews and continuous delivery.
Technical environment: C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, APIs, data pipelines, and production observability.
Who You Are:
- 4+ years of experience building and evolving complex production systems.
- Strong backend fundamentals in object-oriented programming, service and API design, testing, and production operations; experience with C#, Java, Python, C++, Scala, or a similar ecosystem.
- An excellent troubleshooter who can navigate unfamiliar systems, trace issues across components, and identify root causes.
- Comfortable using metrics and production data to validate assumptions and guide technical and product decisions.
- Technical depth combined with curiosity about the business, product impact, and customer outcomes.
- An interest in the mobile and app ecosystem, including app links, tracking, attribution, privacy, and mobile measurement partners.
- An ownership mindset, clear communication, and a commitment to simple, reusable, well-tested code and reliable production systems.
Bonus:
- Experience with mobile advertising, app measurement, attribution, or mobile measurement partner integrations.
- Front-end development experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with observability, production investigations, data analysis, or distributed systems.
- Experience translating Product or UX needs into practical technical solutions.
