Production Operator- 1st Shift Large Elbows
About this role
Position Summary:
Cut Liner to length, relax liner to housing oven, flare liner, and perform all in process inspection.
Principle Duties (includes, but may not be limited to):
- Cut to length liner with band-saw.
- Pull liner into elbow housing using puller.
- Relax liner to housing in oven.
- Flare liner on elbow flaring machine(s) and cool flared elbow on cold head machine(s).
- Tag and mark elbow with identification and trim excess flare off with knife or punch die.
- Perform all in-process inspection (TQC) to specifications using appropriate measuring / test instrument (s).
- Perform set-ups of machinery and equipment tooling.
- Perform material handling functions using hand trucks and forklifts.
- Report production and labor on VDT and work order traveller.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform inventory cycle counts on items in work cell and work cell stock area and report inventory corrections.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.
- Operator must have basic blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform job
- Operator must have basic math skills including addition / subtraction of fractions and decimal values for determining material, manufacturing and inspection requirements
- Operator must have ability to read measuring instruments not limited to but including: tape measure, thickness gage, micrometers and calipers.
- Operator must have good hand-eye coordination, grip strength and dexterity to assemble products using hand and machine tools at established production standards.
