Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team you will manage your time to drive team performance in a busy production environment. Ensuring production targets are achieved with minimal plant downtime, whilst striving for improvements, both as a team and personally.

Working in a maintenance environment and reporting to the Plant Maintenance Team Leader, you will provide a multi-skilled technical service with the minimum of supervision to all departments including cleanroom environments. Working on a variety of technical equipment, and services covering breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and installation. You will be part of a team and will have good communication skills. The successful applicant must be fully committed to working safely and to accepting responsibility for the safety of fellow team members.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic, and F-Gas systems
  • Ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum through planned preventative maintenance and break fix repairs
  • Working to maintain health & safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in line with company safe systems of work including Permit to Work
  • Providing a professional service and represent the department in a way that promotes a professional working relationship
  • Evaluating machine and maintenance performance, driving continual improvement of the maintenance activities
  • Ensuring that maintenance records are updated and completed accurately



Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Have completed a timed served apprenticeship in an engineering subject, be accredited to level 3 or 4 in mechanical, electrical or systems engineering
  • Have a previous background in a maintenance environment is essential – including practical maintenance experience
  • Be fluent in English, hold a UK passport/work permit and not require sponsorship in the future.
  • Hold a valid full UK driving license to enable travel as/when required
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills with flexibility to business requirements either working as part of a team or individually


Desired characteristics include:

  • Having experience with vacuum systems, Electron Beam/laser welders and PLC’s would be advantageous
  • Having experience in a controlled/cleanroom production environment would be advantageous

  • Working Schedule – 39 hours per week, flexible during the hours of 07:00 – 17:00hrs (Core hours 09:00 - 15:00)
  • Callout/Out of hours cover, 1 week in 5 (Details to be discussed further with successful candidates through the interviewing process)
