The Role


We are currently recruiting for an Intern to join our Latin America investment team. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, you will support Active Equities and Real Assets to source and evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, develop investment recommendations, evaluate potential deal structures, and perform in-depth financial analysis. Projects will be allocated based on business needs and your background and interests. Working across different teams will give you great insight into your abilities, interest and passions to grow your career at CPP Investments.

You will accelerate your development through hands-on investment experience, skills-based training and mentorship in a high-performing, collaborative environment. The Latin America team follows an apprenticeship model, providing ongoing coaching and formal training to support your growth.



The Team


Overview of Participating Groups:
Active Equities invests in public and soon-to-be-public companies across global markets, leveraging company-specific fundamental research and proprietary insights to identify alpha opportunities. The team constructs a high-conviction, market-neutral portfolio, with each investment reflecting deep research and a disciplined approach to risk management.

Real Assets invests globally across infrastructure, sustainable energy and real estate through direct investments and partnerships focusing on large-scale assets, the energy transition and aligned joint ventures with experienced operators.

Core Accountabilities

  • Assist with research and analysis to support the evaluation of investment opportunities in Latin America, including company performance, industry trends, risk and expected returns

  • Support the preparation of financial models, valuation analysis and investment materials

  • Help review due diligence materials and summarize key findings for the team

  • Contribute to market, company and peer research to support investment recommendations

  • Assist with portfolio monitoring, including quarterly updates, performance analysis and industry tracking

  • Contribute to the enhancement of investment and operational processes by leveraging data analytics, automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, insight generation and decision-making.

  • We are committed to an apprenticeship model whereby the Intern will learn on the job through continuous coaching and training.


Core Qualifications (Education and Experience)

  • Expected graduation after December 2027 or later

  • Demonstrated academic achievement and intellectual curiosity

  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with creativity and a willingness to learn

  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and a willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to improve investment research and team productivity

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese, with at least basic English communication skills and an interest in continuing to build proficiency in English

  • Attention to detail, adaptability and alignment with our Guiding Principles: Integrity, Partnership and High Performance

  • Availability to work in person from our Sao Paulo office

  • Willing to travel
