Build the Equipment That Keeps the World Running

At Central Power Systems & Services, we've been delivering power solutions and building trusted partnerships since 1954. As a growing leader in power generation, we design and manufacture custom generator systems that support critical industries, data centers, healthcare facilities, municipalities, and businesses across the region.

Our mission is simple: Forging long-lasting partnerships by providing first-class customer support. Every generator we build reflects that commitment.

We are seeking skilled, motivated Production Technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy building complex equipment that makes a real impact. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a long-term career with a stable and growing company, we'd like to meet you.

Position Summary

The Production Technician plays a key role in the assembly of custom diesel and natural gas-powered generator systems and related equipment. Working from blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, you'll assemble, install, test, and inspect components to ensure each unit meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

This position offers the opportunity to work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems while developing valuable technical skills in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and assembly specifications
Assemble custom generator systems and related equipment according to design requirements
Install mechanical, electrical, fuel, exhaust, cooling, and support system components
Verify parts and materials against work orders, stock lists, and engineering drawings
Measure and inspect components using precision tools including calipers, gauges, and micrometers

Set and verify critical tolerances and clearances to engineering specifications
Conduct operational testing and inspections to verify performance and functionality
Complete quality control documentation and labor tracking requirements
Identify and communicate quality, safety, or production concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments
Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Perform other duties as assigned

Why You'll Enjoy This Role
