JOB SUMMARY
Central Power Systems & Services is seeking an experienced technical trainer for our Critical Power product lines. This would include generator sets, uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), and power distribution equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and conduct technical training programs as required to meet the needs of our employees and our partners.
Maintain training class schedules and manage class enrollment.
Ensure that each CPS&S branch is in compliance with the technical training requirements and selected OEM partners.
Administer all partner on-line training resources.
Maintain and update training records and ensure HR files are accurate for our technicians.
Maintain all training aids and related equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Ensure all training material is up-to-date and current as the industry products change.
Provide technical support for all CPS&S Critical Power branches or other locations as may be required.
Provide in-shop and best practice technical training for all CPS&S branches as needed.
Establish training priorities of shop personnel and branches and set up annual training calendars for each.
Travel as needed to outlying Branch locations whenever scheduling permits or formal training is not being conducted.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED.
5 to 8 years of technical experience in repairs to generators of all manufacturers and/or UPS equipment.
Previous factory certification in any manufacturing generator and/or UPS products
Experience in executing OEM developed training courses as well as developing specific training curriculum as may be needed across the company for shop and technician effectiveness.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
WORK CONDITIONS
Physical Demands/Work Environment
This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
