- As a Coury Hospitality Server, you are at the heart of the dining experience. You’ll have the opportunity to create meaningful connections with guests while delivering refined, personalized service that reflects our commitment to exceptional hospitality.
- From guiding guests through the menu to recommending the perfect wine pairing, executing thoughtful service techniques, and anticipating needs before they are expressed, you’ll help create an experience that guests remember long after they leave.
- You’ll work closely with our culinary, bar, and service teams to create a seamless experience from arrival to departure. Your curiosity, product knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality will help elevate every guest experience.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining, upscale restaurants, luxury hotels, or other high-end hospitality environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and fine dining service principles, with a willingness to continuously learn and develop.
- Knowledge of wine varietals, regions, vintages, wine service, and food and wine pairings is preferred.
- Ability to learn and confidently communicate menu ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and seasonal changes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm, poised, and professional under pressure.
- Must obtain and maintain any required state or local alcohol service permits or certifications, such as TABC, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent.
- Must obtain and maintain any required state or local food service certifications, such as a Food Handler Card, ServSafe certification, or equivalent.
- Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and beverage.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must maintain a polished appearance and adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout all service areas.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This is an active, guest-facing position performed in an upscale dining environment. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent interaction with guests and team members, and the ability to safely handle food, beverages, dishes, glassware, trays, and service equipment while maintaining refined service standards.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, glassware, and service equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to safely maneuver throughout the dining room while carrying food, beverages, dishes, and glassware.
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail during extended periods of guest service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, polished, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow all applicable safety, sanitation, food handling, and alcohol service requirements.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable to job responsibilities.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with grooming and uniform standards.
