Mechanical Engineer
About this role
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in New Product Development
- Broad mechanical design knowledgebase from plastic injection moulding, through metal casting and additive manufacturing, to sheet metal fabrication and turning/milling
- Experience with composite materials is desirable
Hands-On experience in production and assembly of parts is a plus
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools (preferably Solidworks and Solidworks PDM)
- Experience in freeform modelling is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GD&T
- Experience in mechatronical systems is a plus
- Soft Skills
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Fluency in German is a plus
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving approach
- Hands-On mentality with strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
- Excellent communication skills in international environments
- Experience working with predominantly Asian manufacturing partners
