  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday 2:30p-11p and Saturday 6:30a-7p

  • Week 3: Sunday 6:30a-7p and Thursday, Friday 2:30p-11p

  • Week 4: Wednesday-Friday 2:30p-11p

About the unit

4H is a 22-bed Surgical Specialties Unit caring for patients undergoing bariatric, general, urologic, and colorectal surgeries. Nursing Technicians and Unit Secretaries play a key role in supporting patient care, coordinating communication, and creating a positive experience for patients and families. Known for its collaborative culture and strong sense of teamwork, 4H provides an environment where team members are supported, valued, and encouraged to learn. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, offering opportunities to gain experience across multiple surgical specialties and recovery pathways. As an accredited Bariatric Surgery Center recognized for quality outcomes, 4H is an excellent place for individuals who enjoy working closely with patients and being part of a compassionate healthcare team.

Scope of work

Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Work Equivalent Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience Preferred
