The Data Analyst will play a key role in understanding business requirements, analyzing existing data structures and processes, validating data, defining analytical requirements, and supporting the transition toward the company’s target data architecture.

The role requires a strong combination of business analysis, data analysis, SQL, data quality, reporting, and data visualization skills, with the ability to translate business questions into reliable, actionable data insights.

YOU WILL

»       Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear data and analytical requirements.

»       Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, KPIs, reporting requirements, and data needs.

»       Analyze existing data sources, ODS, DWH, staging, data marts, and reporting environments.

»       Profile and assess data to identify quality issues, duplication, inconsistencies, missing values, and data anomalies.

»       Investigate existing reports, dashboards, calculations, and business logic to ensure they are correctly understood before migration or redesign.

»       Define and document data requirements, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and transformation logic.

»       Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and analysis.

»       Support the Data Architect in assessing current-state data architecture and defining requirements for the target-state platform.

»       Work with ETL/ELT teams to validate data pipelines and transformation logic.

»       Perform source-to-target reconciliation and data validation during migration activities.

»       Support data migration and coexistence activities between legacy and target platforms.

»       Analyze data from Oracle, DWH, ODS, MDM, BI, and other enterprise data platforms.

»       Work with data integration patterns including batch, CDC, APIs, and file-based ingestion from an analytical and business perspective.

»       Develop and maintain analytical datasets, data marts, and semantic-layer requirements.

»       Work with BI developers to define and validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and semantic models.

»       Support Power BI and other BI solutions by validating metrics, dimensions, measures, and business calculations.

»       Define and document data quality rules and support data quality monitoring.

»       Assist with metadata, data lineage, data ownership, and business glossary activities.

»       Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, eliminate redundant data processes, and improve data usage.

»       Support regulatory, management, operational, and enterprise reporting requirements.

»       Ensure analytical requirements are aligned with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.

»       Support the preparation of data for advanced analytics, machine learning, and future AI/LLM use cases.

»       Communicate analytical findings and data issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

»       Contribute to data standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

»       TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED

»       Strong experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar data-focused role.

»       Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, preferably Oracle or similar enterprise database platforms.

»       Good understanding of ODS, DWH, data marts, lakehouse, semantic layers, ETL/ELT, and BI architectures.

»       Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and data quality analysis.

»       Experience gathering and documenting business and data requirements.

»       Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including facts, dimensions, relationships, and analytical data structures.

»       Experience with Power BI or similar visualization and BI platforms.

»       Understanding of enterprise data platforms and technologies such as Informatica, GoldenGate, MDM, DQ, EDC/Axon, or equivalent technologies is an advantage.

»       Experience working with cloud and modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP is an advantage.

»       Understanding of CDC, data integration, metadata, lineage, data governance, and data security.

»       Ability to investigate complex data problems and identify the root cause of inconsistencies.

»       Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data analysis.

»       Ability to communicate effectively with business users, developers, architects, and senior stakeholders.

»       Experience working in financial services, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries is a strong advantage.
