About this role

Assists Warehouse Management with daily warehouse business activities and planning including: optimizing storage of purchased materials, efficient transportation and supply of components to production lines, ensuring accurate shipment of finished goods to customers, efficient storage of stock, future warehouse capacity planning requirements, tracking and improving delivery performance to customers.


 

An entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. • Work is routine or follows standard procedures. • Work is closely supervised. • Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.


 

Purpose:

Receives, unpacks, stores, distributes and records inventory materials and products used by the company. Pulls orders and packs and prepares for shipment. Observes all shipping and receiving functions.

Job Duties:

  • Main Job Duty is to pull, pack, and ship customer orders.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked in warehouse.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Any and all duties/assignments requested by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma, college degree preferred, not required.
  • Preferred Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be familiar with all products lines and customer base.
  • Must be familiar with the data works system and be able to input and retrieve data.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires a significant amount of standing and walking, primarily on a hard, level surface.
  • Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or Lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
