The Information Technology Intern will support the enterprise thru hands-on solution development and/or support in one of the following areas: IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, or IT Security.

Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to working on a summer project, the IT intern will also have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with internal CLR customers to document specific business and technical requirements

  • Design and model a solution that meets the needs of the documented requirements

  • Develop a task plan that shows both individual and external tasks to develop a solution to meet the needs of the customer

  • Create a prototype of the proposed solution

  • Develop IT processes and operational documentation based on infrastructure and system requirements

  • Participate in or lead project planning sessions

  • Troubleshoot technical or business system issues providing root cause identification and resolution

  • Create technical designs based on gathered requirements

  • Develop system modules and solutions based on gathered requirements

  • Provide end user training and support

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Strong customer focus and a team player

  • Effective time management

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an accredited four (4) year College or University

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

  • Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation

  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Any IT related development or support experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
