Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loss Mitigation QC Specialist to join our Mortgage Servicing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of default servicing for US mortgages, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and investor guidelines. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the mortgage servicing industry.

 

Primary Accountabilities:

·         To have an end to end knowledge of US Mortgage Default Servicing cycle

·         To have fair knowledge on Underwriting & Closing process in Loss Mitigation

·         Capable of reviewing and quality check files related to LM and UW

·         Should be able to work on various loan divisions such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA & Asset Loans

·         Performing income calculations (Pay stubs, Self-employment, Rental Income, Pension/SSI) based on the guidelines and Mortgage Application Assistance hardship requirements in underwriting process.

·         To have end to end knowledge in loan mitigation process is required.

·         Exposure of working on checklists is an added advantage.

 

Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a similar discipline is preferred.

Experience: 2 - 3 years of minimum experience in US mortgage industry, mostly handling default servicing.

Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Default servicing, Loss Mitigation process and exposure to MSP. 

Skills:

·         Ability to think critically and solve problems is strong.

·         Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking.

·         Proficiency using Word, Excel, and Outlook from the Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Familiarity with systems and software used in mortgage servicing.
