What You'll Do:

 

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate Patient Transport Driver to support our healthcare team by transporting voluntary, non-emergent individuals to and from healthcare facilities and community destinations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable experience for every individual we serve. 

 

  • Safely operate a company vehicle to transport individuals between healthcare facilities, residences, and community settings. 
  • Assist individuals entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.  
  • Provide assistance to individuals with limited mobility, including the use of safety equipment when needed. 
  • Complete and maintain accurate transport logs, including mileage, trip details, and service times.  
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles are in proper working order. 
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, transportation coordinators, clinical staff, and patients. 
  • Follow all company driving policies and safety protocols. 
  • This position requires driving for extended periods and assisting individuals with varying mobility levels. 
  • May involve exposure to various weather conditions and community settings. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.  No suspensions or revocations of drivers license in the last three years.  
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Prior experience in patient transport, healthcare, or customer service preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques
  • Ability to safely lift and assist individuals as needed
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment

It would be great if you had:

  • At least 1-year prior experience in a patient transport role
  • Familiarity with geographic areas served and transportation safety standards is a plus
